Elephant on Rampage

In India, two elephants broke into a suburb of the city of Mysore, in the southern Indian state of Karnataka. Trouble broke out after four elephants were separated from their herd after villagers chased them away from the fields to prevent damage to their standing crop. Of the four, two subsequently retreated towards the forest while the other two entered the city limits, where they got separated from each other.

They attacked the livestock, grazed the cars going by and tried to trample the people who stood on their way. Three hours of battle, elephants were held.
