Why not to go Ombre

Ombre quickly become the HOTTEST hair trend, everybody is doing it, whether they are doing it right or not, everywhere you look, there's a girl with some form of Ombre hair. We have the exclusives on OMBRE, and why you should Opt OUT! We spoke to a bunch of salons, and even contacted a few models and actors. We've also included ways to achieve a similar look that's sexy and unique.

Vickie Santonio (Hair Salon Owner): Ombre trend has made my salon a lot of money, but I don't understand it, sure it looks laid back and undone, but it also looks lazy and unkept"
Ombre hair is basically roots growing out, what's so attractive about roots? The goal with ombre is to look low maintenance, and un-caring.. well ditch the comb then.

Josephina Barker (Model): "It may seem like a trend for the celebs, and the super models, but it's not really a trend in modeling. A model showed up to the same audition as me, with Ombre hair, which were done very well I must say, was sent home before she even auditioned, because the designer thought she could use the day to take care of her roots"

It may have been a thing on the runway, but it's out of style now, it's not there anymore. Instead get some beautiful low lights a few shades lighter than your hair, it will really add some luster and shine to your hair.

Jake Thomalson; "There's nothing I love more than a woman with ombre hair! It's mainly so me and my buddies can get a good laugh out of why a woman would pay to make her hair look like she can't afford some root touch up"

Ombre hair can be disastrous if done at home, and frankly most salon charge A LOT to have your hair ombred, since it's a process. So ditch the splurge on a trend, and get a gloss treatment, or lighten up your strands to look summer ready.
Elliotta Fikhai (actor); " I can't be a trend setter, I can only speak for myself, but actors should be blank canvases. Ombre must be great for a night out, but to walk into work with your roots all hanging out, you don't look very put together."

Ombre is actually pretty bad on hair, since the hair needs to be gradually lighter from root to ends, it's really a process to get your hair that way. think of the split ends, so save yourself and your hair and stick to something that looks sexy like a darker base color with tons of highlights. You can also invest in some extensions, and ombre those. Stick them in when you want to satisfy your craving.

Dolycia Brant (Hair stylist): "for the love of hair, please donot follow youtube videos when doing ombre. Google Ombre and look at the celebs, they donot have one tone colors, they have it all blended in. I've seen girls walk into my salon and ask us to fix their hack jobs of ombre hair, and we can't really do much without damaging the hair."

It's a trend, and it has passed I haven't seen that many celebs that rocked ombre having it now, so treat yourself to a more elegant look.
